The cut and copy operations store the contents and properties of the cells on the Clipboard. To select multiple cells hold down the Ctrl key while selecting, or hold down the left mouse button and drag to select a rectangular cell range. You can use the normal shortcuts for these operations: Ctrl+ X, Ctrl+ C and Ctrl+ V respectively.
